Vinyl Plank FAQs
Is luxury vinyl plank really waterproof?
The planks themselves are waterproof, which makes them a great fit for kitchens, baths and basements. We still recommend wiping up standing water and fixing any leaks, since water can reach the subfloor around the edges of a room.
Can vinyl plank go over my existing floor?
Often it can, as long as the floor underneath is flat, solid and well attached. We check this during your free in-home visit and let you know if anything needs to come up or be repaired first.
How do I clean and care for vinyl plank?
Sweep or vacuum regularly and use a damp mop with a cleaner made for vinyl floors. Felt pads under furniture legs help keep the surface looking new.
Can you install vinyl plank I already bought?
Yes. We install flooring from any store, including Lifeproof, SmartCore, Mohawk and other trusted brands.
