Laminate FAQs
What is the difference between laminate and vinyl plank?
Laminate has a wood-based core with a hard, scratch-resistant top layer. Vinyl plank has a waterproof core. Laminate is a great value for dry living areas, while vinyl plank is the better pick for kitchens, baths and basements. We are happy to walk you through both during your visit.
Can laminate go in a kitchen or bathroom?
Some laminates are rated water resistant, but for rooms with regular moisture we usually recommend luxury vinyl plank. We will help you choose the right floor for each room.
Do you install underlayment?
Yes. The right underlayment helps the floor feel solid, sound quieter and lay flat. We match it to your flooring and subfloor.
